Marlee Robinson is the current Operator and Owner of Red-tailed Hawk in Collingwood.  She recently re-located to the Muskoka area.  She is a Registered Early Childhood Educator, alongside a diploma in Social Service Work. Marlee has been working with children for over 5 years in Collingwood, and has been involved with Red-tailed Hawk for many of those years. Growing up in Collingwood and Midhurst, Marlee has always been an outdoor enthusiast. She has a special love for all kinds of agriculture, and in her free-time you will find her hiking, hanging out with cows, kayaking, fishing and cottaging.  She is in the process of completing her Forest Practitioner's training.

Marlee has a strong belief in the simple things in life and getting back to the basics - especially in childhood. This is what drew her to becoming involved in Red-tailed Hawk. Marlee has always known that she wanted to enter into teaching and has always loved public speaking, learning and leading. She believes that fostering independence and aiding children in their own risk-assessment as well as self-regulation skills, are the keys to becoming a successful adult; all practiced and important pieces that will be at the forefront of operating Lodestar’s Forest School program. 

Kresson is versatile and experienced educator.  She graduated from Lakehead University in 2022 with an Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science (with a specialization in social justice), as well as her Bachelor of Education degree.  She's spent her summers working for the Town of Bracebridge as a day camp leader, and was then promoted to camp coordinator.

Kresson has completed a year of teaching at Lodestar Montessori School, wearing many hats as our French and Gym teacher at both our Casa and Elementary campuses.  She has a strong love for the outdoors, and incorporates this passion into her daily routine.  She believes that nature is healing, and time outside is crucial to healthy childhood development.  She loves exploring somewhere new, traveling around for new adventures.  Her adventure bucket list is constantly growing!
